A Medical Director is:
If the Executive Director is not a physician licensed to practice in Texas, the Executive Director shall appoint A Physician who is licensed to practice in Texas.
The Medical Director shall be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of policies, systems, and measures regarding clinical and professional issues and determinations.
The Medical Director acts under the supervision and at the direction of the Executive Director.
In the event of the incapacity, resignation or death of the Medical Director, members of the board may assume duties of the Medical Director on an interim basis.
